Do you need help deciding between a single or a double bed? Then choose a doubter! A French bed is larger than a single bed and smaller than a double bed. A French bed has a mattress with a size of 120x200cm. There is no special-size duvet cover for a French bed. Do you prefer a bit of a blanket? Then go for a 2-person duvet and duvet cover of 200x200cm. Prefer a smaller duvet? Then choose a 1-person duvet and duvet cover of 140x200cm.

2-person duvet cover

Are you going for enough space and comfort? Then a double bed is ideal. This size is more expansive than a 1-person duvet and is lovely to lie in together. The mattress has a standard size of 140x200cm. A duvet cover of 200x200cm or 200x220cm fits well here. A 2-person duvet cover is also suitable for a French bed.

Twin duvet cover

Do you like a lot of space in bed? Then a Lits-jumeaux size is ideal. A Litsjumeaux is more comprehensive than a double bed, so you have a lot of extra space. A Lits-jumeaux duvet cover has standard dimensions of 240x200cm or 240x220cm and belongs to a mattress of 160/180x200cm.

Material

When choosing a material for your new duvet cover, it is essential to consider the season. It is best to go for cotton, satin-cotton or linen in the summer. These fabrics can breathe well, so they absorb perspiration moisture well and do not feel clammy. Flannel is recommended in winter; flannel heats up very quickly, unlike other fabrics. Summer duvet cover

Go for a duvet cover made of cotton in the summer. Cotton has several valuable properties:

1. It is a breathable fabric.
2. It absorbs perspiration moisture well without your duvet cover feeling clammy.
3. It is skin-friendly and prevents irritation from perspiration
4. It can be washed at 40 / 60 degrees

Cotton is an excellent option to get through that warm summer night more comfortably. In addition to a silver duvet cover made of cotton, you can also opt for the satin cotton variant. Because satin cotton is made of 100% cotton, it has the same properties as a cotton duvet cover.

It is better to leave your flannel duvet cover in the closet for a while. Although flannel is made of 100% cotton, there are better options than this in the summer. The main difference between cotton and flannel is that flannel is roughened. This gives the fabric a woolly layer and retains more heat. Ideal in winter, of course, but in summer, we prefer an airy option!
