What are the statuses of an eCheq?

The statuses of an eCheq are: Issued, Active, Void, Deposited, Collected, Overdue or Expired and Rejected.

– Issued: it is an eCheq issued which has not yet been accepted by the beneficiary.

– Active: It is considered in this state from the moment it is accepted until it is deposited or the expiration date is passed.

– Canceled: the eCheq issued was canceled by the drawer, before it is accepted by the beneficiary.

– Deposited: the eCheq reached the payment date and the beneficiary carried out the deposit action.

– Collected: the compensation process ran, the funds were debited from the drawer’s account and the funds were credited to the beneficiary’s account.

– Expired or Expired: as with the physical check, the beneficiary can deposit the eCheq up to 30 days after the payment date that appears on the eCheq. After that date, it goes to the “Expired” status.

– Rejected: The reasons for rejection indicated in the current regulations (Law on Checks and OPASI 2 of the BCRA – Central Bank of the Argentine Republic) will apply.
