Introduction:

An ancient hill station in Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka state. Also known as Nandi Beta or Nandi Durg, it is one of the most fascinating areas. Surrounded by breath-taking views, filled with clouds and surreal sites, it is a hidden spot of the South. It is one of the easiest treks of all times, as it is only a 2–3-hour trek. Quick getaway and a wonderful place to be in. This place is a road trip away from Bangalore. FLORA AND FAUNA

THE MAIN TREK 

The hill station’s top can be reached by various automobile options like auto rikshaw, cycles, taxies and also by your private vehicles. However, if you want to explore the best of these hills, explore it on foot or you can take the old flight of stairs which was constructed in Tipu’s era. On reaching the lowest point of the hill, you can start your journey by climbing the stairs, and after some time you will be reaching a fortification door that is too beautiful. You will be crossing a very astonishing route covered with rocks and large, green trees. You will be going through the Shiva Sanctuary which goes back to 500 years.  And further you will see a rest house type 2 storeyed structure. Also, you will be running across Amrutha Sarovar in which there are orange-coloured small fishes. Now, the next mystical stop is Tipu’s Drop.  Further, another beautiful sanctuary, i.e., Yoganandeeshwara sanctuary can be seen. This is a Shiva Sanctuary which goes back to about 1000 years. The next point is the wellspring of the river Palar. The next spot is a small place for worshiping Lord Nandi. While moving downwards, you can see the Cubbon House, which was a retreat for one of the British Officers, and one can witness some ancient work of wood around the Cubbon House.
