  • Hold a relevant level 6 qualification or above, such as a degree or Level 6 apprenticeship.
  • Have at least 100 days of teaching experience in a learning and skills setting, including at least 50 days in the last five years.
  • Pass the Professional Formation and Standards Test (PFST) and the Professional Dialogue.
  • Complete the Professional Formation and Standards Record (PFSR) which includes a written reflection on your practice and an interview.
  • Be a member of the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) and pay an annual fee to maintain QTLS status.
  • Meet the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements of the ETF.
