How to Draw Loki – let’s Get Started!

Step 1

The design we will draw in this guide on how to draw Loki will be based on his classic outfit from the Marvel comics. The helmet he wears in the comics and movies has long horns, and these are the ones we’ll start with. For the horn on the left, use some curved lines to create the crescent shape of the funnel.

Use some curvier lines for the one on the right, but this one will look a bit straighter because of its angle. His helmet is quite large and angular and will have a small opening for the face in the front. You can also draw his face with his intense expression in that opening. Finish off this step with more curvy lines for the big neck of your cape, and then we can move on to step 2!

Step 2

The shoulder parts of Loki’s cape are pretty big and square, and we’ll add them to this part of your Loki drawing. To begin, draw some straight horizontal lines for the top edges of these shoulder parts. Next, remove the thick boundaries of the angular outline of the shoulder pads.

These sections can be tricky, so you may want to copy the reference image we provide closely. Then add some sharp lines for the lower parts of the neck. And then extend a few more curved lines to the opening of her cape over his chest. Add a border to the edges of these neck elements, and then we can continue with step 3.

Step 3

We’ll add a lot of detail in this step of our guide on how to draw Loki! First, we’ll remove the arm on the right. This arm will hang casually by his side, and his hand will curl into a fist. His cape has a lot of individual details, sections, and little pads all over it, and this goes for this arm as well.

Then we’ll use skinny rectangular shapes for the descending branches of the cape, and you can draw the front parts using some musical square forms. Once it looks like our reference image, you’re ready for step 4.

Step 4

In this step of your Loki drawing, you’ll finish outlining his body and limbs before adding some final details in the next step. The arm on the left will be raised a bit as it will hold the staff we will draw in the next step. Otherwise, this manga design will look very similar to the other arm you just drew.

The top of his pants will be removed with softer lines, but his boots will have equal detail as the rest of his clothes. You are ready to continue with the final pieces in the next step!

Step 5

Loki is seldom seen without his favorite team, and this is what we resolve by drawing in this step of our guide on how to draw Loki. The cane has a bit of a curved shape, so we’ll use some more wavy lines for the outline. Like the various parts of his clothing, there will be many smaller detail sections on the cane.

The tip will also be significant, curved, and sharp. Once you’ve drawn this cane, you could add some ideas! One would be removing a background, which would be a great way to show off your favorite Loki scene.

Step 6

To finish this drawing of Loki, we’ll need to add some color! In our reference image, we opted for this character’s classic colors often seen. This means we use greens with some yellow highlights for most of his outfits. There are also some darker blue elements; if you want to make it look comical.

you can try copying the colors we used here. You can also change things by incorporating some unique color options of your own or modifying the art media you use. How will you finish this fantastic drawing of Loki?
